Weekly Real Estate Market Watch January 17-24, 2012

San Benito County Market Watch January 17-24, 2012

First time home buyers and investors are taking advantage of the interest rates and the chart shows close to 30 homes have an accepted offer and looking towards closing.  Over the last few weeks prices have been starting to increase as the average home sale is about $270,000.  Since the transaction takes about 3-4 months to close a property, buyers should not wait to buy a home as prices have been increasing.

With that being said, San Benito County residents are starting to have an upper hand on pricing.  Homes might not be the same as it was back in 2007 and before, but the locals are seeing a recovery.

Do you know anyone who needs assistance with real estate?  As a CDPE Realtor and local advocate, I can help sellers with financial hardships find relief with a short sale or other foreclosure alternatives.  The help is free until a home is SOLD, so just ask Kristen at 831.635.6719.
